Large Tolype -- moth buy mezzotint

Original mezzotint on Rives BFK paper, from a limited edition of 14. The paper size is 7"x 6" ; the actual image is a tiny 3.5" x 2.8".
Mezzotint is an intaglio printmaking technique that involves creating the image on a copper plate and printing with a press.

This is an unframed print and will be sent to you in a clear plastic envelope with a foam core backing.

The moth species is a Large Tolype (Tolype velleda) that came to my back porch light in the summer of 2020. I photographed it and based this print on my photos. buy
