This vintage picnic basket was recently found at an estate sale. The finish was faded and dull. I scrubbed it with warm soapy water and after drying it well I gave it several coats of Restore A Finish by " Howard". (on the outsides, lid and bottom) My research shows that it would have been made during the 1930's. I've included a picture of a collection of picnic baskets; a great display, also a unique storage option. A nice size ; the top is 11.25" wide, 20" long and 10" tall. Sturdy wood handles that are secured with metal tacks. Metal hinges. Certainly functional for it's intended use but also suitable for a number of decors; Farmhouse, Country, Vintage, Rustic, Cottage, Cabin, Shabby Chic and more.

Condition: Very good condition, especially considering it's age. The is a chip to the veneer on the top (see picture) but it does not take away from the charm of this basket. The Restore A Finish certainly brightened the wood, a great look.
