Antique Yale & Towne Lock Set---Mortise Lock Set---Y and T buy Lock Set With Backplates---Ornate Design Lock Set--Lock Set From The Early 1900's

This antique mortise lock set is from the early 1900's. The lock set measures 3.75 inches by 3.25 inches and is stamped "Y & T" on it. This is the company "Yale & Towne". The plate on the lock set is ornate and measures 5.50 inches by 15/16 of an inch. Also included is a set of two decorative ornate backplates, which are made of metal. These backplates (or door knob plates) each buy measure 5.50 inches by 1.75 inches. It looks like there is a small piece missing off of the back of the mortise lock set---see the photos. We think that it was cut off, however, the lock set could have been made that way. It does not affect the working of the door knob. We do not have the key or screws for this mortise set.
