This Author has such an interesting story for her life! Not to mention all of her books! She wrote under a pen name to protect her daughter who was living in a Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia with her Hungarian husband. She wrote several books under the name of Ethel Vance but once her daughter was safe she began writing under her own name of Grace Zaring Stone. Her books were and still are very popular! Many of them were made into films, this book a 'Winter Meeting' starred Bette Davis! Produced by Warner Brothers films...
This book has its dust jacket, but the jacket has been doodled on, there is wear along the edges and a tear. The blue hardcover book is in great shape, it doesn't appear to have been opened! Some staining on the front inside cover and back cover-maybe dampness?
