Nine attractively bound books with great typography, classic good looks and unbelievably good content. For history lovers, there is a distinguished volume from the Lincoln Papers. There is also a marvelous and highly readable history of Michelangelo's work on the Sistine Chapel (as Raphael was also frescoing the pope's pirate apartments). It's riveting reading. Tom Brokaw weighs in on American History, and for fun buy, read Lauren Weisberger's 'Revenge Wears Prada'. There are a couple of smaller-sized inspirational books for balance and also soul-food. Finally, because they are just too pretty to hide away, Funk & Wagnall's volumes (17 & 6) that have a very lovely shimmer.

All books are used and in good condition and shabby chic condition, chosen for their elegant, understated looks and spine lettering.

Books' front and back covers are often in a contrasting color (see the photo that shows the books' top edges). Height ranges from approximately 6.5" to 8.25". Some may have a previous owner's neatly written signature, a dedication or a black tick on the bottom. Some are vintage and some are more recent.
