A real, mummified rat head, same specimen as shown in these photos
This head is sourced from a large frozen feeder rat. It has been carefully cleaned and mummified by me. The eyes and brain have been buy entirely removed prior to drying, making for a high quality, bug resistant specimen.
Absolutely adorable, this head has been in my personal "To Do" pile for just a few days. However, while a backlog of client work booked out, I've decided to pass this specimen along to another oddity artist!
The natural hole at the base of the skull -called the foramen magnum- is easily accessible on this mummy. (See last photo) Thus it is ready to be crafted with, wired to, or filled with a bit of your favorite sculpting material.
