Bevels of glass are soldered together to form a pyramid in which I have encased sand, shells, beach glass and tiny star fish from all over the world. You've heard of a “snow globe”? Well, this could be called a “sand globe”.
Size is 3" x 10". ..It's a pretty good sized piece! I have many sizes available. If you don't see what you want, feel free to contact me. Due to the handcraft nature of this item, exact configuration of shells may vary. Each “Beach by the Inch” is guaranteed to contain at least one starfish, however.
GREAT FOR HOME OR OFFICE: when the day gets stressful, peace is just an arm's length away. Pick up the pyramid and gently turn it, watching the shells and sand tumble and play… close buy your eyes and you're lying in the sun and sand! I have mounted little clear feet on one side of the pyramid to prevent the edges from marring or scratching the surface on which it rests. It can still be tumbled to change the configuration of shells to your liking.
