There are two birdhouses on this listing to choose from, one is made with a light colored speckled stoneware and the other one is made with a dark brown colored stoneware. buy They are both for indoor or outdoor use. They are functional or can just be used to decorate home or patio. They both have a wood grain texture and are made to look like a tree trunk with bark and branches for a bird to sit at the entrance. They have vent holes for heat to escape and drain holes incase water should enter through the entrance. The clay is vitrified and glazed so water cannot penetrate it. Although they should be fine all year long outdoors, it is reccommended to bring it in where the climate is extremely cold.
