Sunrise Shells come from a scallop known as Langford's Pecten, which live around 300-600 ft. deep, below the surface of the ocean. Sunrise shells are extremely rare and can only be found throughout the waters located around the Hawaiian Islands. They usually come in color variations of red, orange, pink and yellow. The name “Sunrise shell” comes from the fact that the shells are mostly found washed up ashore during sunrise!
Each Sunrise Shell is locally sourced from divers on the island of Oahu. No live specimen is ever taken from the ocean, allowing the animals to continue to thrive buy and bring about their beauty for generations to come.

This Hawaiian Sunrise Shell is white at its point which fans out to a soft pink then a sunny yellow color. The shell has been delicately wrapped in 14k gold filled wire and accented with an authentic, Swarovski crystal bead.
