While walking at Elk Island National Park I came across a natural shed of Bison buy fur. Some of the fur I collected has been added to this Deer Rattle.
The Womb of this deerhide rattle is around 2 inches long, and about 1.25 inches thick and the length of the stick is about a foot (12 inches).
On the very top of the rattle is a Bison/Buffalo bead that has been woven in with the artificial sinew, tiger eye and jasper beads.
Inside the womb of the rattle is corn and one stone. I hope you like a mystery as I did not take pictures of the contents when making this rattle. I wonder if it is a tiger eye stone?
The message I receive from this rattle is: I am of the Earth. I wonder... Who is the Rattle speaking to... Who wants to play with this Rattle... and What magic can be created?
