Large pair of scissors in hand, spool of thread at his feet and sitting on a stool is the " LIttle Tailor " #308. His little coat is pulled up at the back, showing his shirt and suspenders. One of the larger sized Hummel figurines at a hieght close to 6 inches. Retail and even wholesale pricing from dealers can often range between $200-$300. Imprinted in base with " M.J. Hummel. It is in very good vintage condition, no chips, no cracks, no repairs, slight crazing in glaze of the base which to buy many collectors only adds to its vintage character. Priced to sell. See photos.
It has the Goebel W. Germany TMK-5 mark under its base, known as "The Last Bee" mark, which was used since 1972, but occasionally as early as 1970. It was in effect until 1979 after which the famous Goebel Bee mark was removed. Generally this mark was placed under the glaze from 1972-1976, but over the glaze 1976-1979.
