McCalls Pattern Interchangeable Satchel #6989 Traum no sew slip on Handbag buy Frame

This lot is for a Rare Pattern with its Frame.

Both items are in good preowned unused condition, packaging has tears to cardboard but is still clean in appearance.

I believe both were made back in 1963.


Pattern is still inside the original sleeve and has not been cut, outer sleeve envelope is a worn and splitting from age...

This McCall's #6989 Pattern is for Interchangeable satchel handbag that goes buy over the Traum no sew slip on Fram shown.

Pattern also includes a sheet of McCall's Multi Blue transfer with a diamond pattern as well as pattern layout instructions

Traum Frame comes with original card it was in as shown, card is folded with creases and has tears in several places but has good legible graphics.

Folder is no longer stapled in place but appears it had been stapled together originally to hold the frame inside it

I taped inside area on a larger tear to cardboard section to stabilize it but left the smaller tears as is. I also tried to circle most areas where cardboard is torn with yellow graphics to point them out, it's in quite a few areas.

The graphics on the Traum card are light in nature and some areas read as follows

To attach or change bags simply remove the two detachable knobs, slide rods thru bag casings, and reattach knobs securely.

Face reads: See other side for styles made with Traum Easy Mount Sew in Frames. Which shows a picture of various bags on the backside once you unfold the frame folder that held the frame. That area has a fold crease down the center.

I looked online and this frame seems to be a scarce one though there were other types of Traum frames available that also had patterns for them.

This frame and pattern definitely go together according to the graphics. I'm not sure if those other frames are Interchangeable with this pattern no.

This is a 9" frame according to package and is in good clean shiny condition. It snaps together tightly since its never been used and does retain its rods.
