Boxer Dog breed figurine sculpture.

Made in the USA . By Swedish sculptor, Oscar Morten. He captured the character of approximately 300 types of animals at his Chicago studio.

The Morten studio composed ceramics over a metal skeletal body.

He was in business for over 30 yrs. /1931-1963

His canines, especially, were highly collectible, and they still are. However, finding one in mint condition is a challenge.


{CONDITION}

Once loved by another.

Today, if found, one will see crazing. Furthermore, the ceramic has more than likely chipped from tips of the ears. That's the case with this boxer breed here. I detected a “u” shaped mold mark? Its located on the back of the neck. It runs from the base of the ear to the other ( view the last photo). No other issues seen. Still, a stunning piece of art to own. 2 of the original stickers are intact.
