Product code: Antique Harrach Bohemian Red and White buy Alabaster Glass Bowl
This early Harrach alabaster glass bowl dates to 1869. An example is shown in Das Böhmisches Glas, 1700-1950, Band III, page 62 (PMC III.66), where it is described as being an 'Aschenbecher' (a bowl or beaker for ashes). It has a red rim and buy and a finely polished pontil.
The bowl measures 3-1/2" (8.9cm) tall by 4-3/4" (12cm) wide, and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few very fine traces of black in some of the mold lines of the bowl that are from the time of manufacture; please see the photos for details.
This fine old bowl would be a wonderful addition to an antique glass collection, and would also be a beautiful accent for a special table.
