A timeless piece that you can wear with anything this vintage (circa 1960s) 34" Goldette necklace is buy made in the Victorian Revival style with its long chain made from linked, detailed aged goldtone components that have been set with tiny green, red, blue, and light purple rhinestones. Hanging on the chain is an exquisitely detailed locket gold-tone locket set on one with the same tiny rhinestones. The locket functions beautifully and closes securely

Excellent vintage condition with minor wear to the gold tone, all rhinestones intact, and both locket and fold-over clasp function securely.

ABOUT: GOLDETTE 1958 - late 1970's
-----------------
Goldette often styled their jewelry to look like parts of Victorian fine jewelry were pieced together and made by a jeweler into a bracelet or a brooch. Their necklaces consisted of multistrand gold or silver chains with Victorian or Oriental-style centerpieces. Many of their longer necklaces have a distinctive fold-over clasp.
Traditionally, Goldette jewelers used silver and gold tone alloys and beautiful antique colors, known as Russian gold, metal. In addition, they complemented the design with handmade cameos made from natural shells, intaglio with genre scenes, legionnaires' profiles, and neat female heads. Also, Austrian crystals of high quality, art glass, rhinestones, and cabochons.
To develop a unique style, Goldette N.Y. jewelers used the best traditions of Art Deco, Art Nouveau, and Victorian-era jewelry.
