This pipe rest comes from a line of pipe holders that are made in Japan black painted brass, silver, or copper colored large spoon pipe holders made around the 1950's. I have had all of these, the lion, greyhound, bull, horse, moose, panther...too many anyways so this one is going up for sale. This one is the Collie dog. It is in excellent estate condition. These things typically are pretty expensive given the variety of figures and large spoon, go ahead and look for yourself. The one is nicely heavy and sits perfectly flat. The large spoons can accommodate most any size/shape pipe. This piece weighs about 6 ounces.
