This is a stunning traditional rosary handcrafted with Czech glass beads: Ave beads are smooth, round matte black and Pater beads are deep red, fire-polished, English cut with solid antiqued brass filigree ornamentation. The Crucifix and Center are antique reproduction medals cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax casting method. The center medal depicts St. Michael the Archangel victorious over satan. Finally, this rosary includes on additional bead made of jet and in the shape of a skull to remind us of our human mortality, a tradition dating back to the Late Middle Ages. The rosary is supple but made to last with the cord being 49-ply flexible steel wire.
