Beautiful Vintage CORO Pegasus – Hinged bangle bracelet with security buy chain high polished gilded metal retro style 1940s

Vintage condition: good vintage condition; very astatically pleasing has some signs of wear but a lovely piece for it's age , micro scratches visible on inside and upper side; a micro corrosion spot on the upper side

A bracelet in retro style made of base metal with a beautiful high polished gilded finish, as well on the inside and the outside. The bracelet has two half round and slightly domed parts, of which the edges are folded. These two parts are connected with a hinge and the bracelet opens and closes with a snap clasp in good working condition. The bracelet has a gold tone metal security chain. It is marked next to the clasp « Coro » in script at angle and a Pegasus beside, which dates this piece of costume jewelry to the 1940s, probably the second half of this decade. The top designer Gene Verri was creative director at Coro's from 1933-1963. Measurements: width 2.2 cms/ 4/5", diameter 5.8 cms/2 ¼ ". maximum, security chain 7.5 cms/3" approx. Good vintage condition; under magnifier micro scratches visible on the inside and the upper side ; a tiny corrosion spot on the outside and also a very tiny one on the inside of the bracelet. The finish on the inside of the end which receives the clasp has scratches, only visible if the bracelet is open. Any other spots on the photos are reflections from camera or background. Nice elegant retro design; beautiful polished finish ; opportunity for collectors !
