Works when plugged in, It does make a noise after buy a few mins it stops. I assume oil will resolve this altogether. It has a crack on the body doesn't effect the clock at all. It does glow in the dark. The bottom had felt added to it before I purchased it. I am sure it can be removed I just never did. Feel free to message for more details.
