Rare Art Deco can from ca. 1920 - 1930

Noble lid trousers made of dark blue bakelite. It was a gift box for special customers and filled with fine soaps.
The lid is adorned by a gold print relief of a fully occupied four-hand carriage from earlier times. Today the can is empty.

Bakelite can in very good condition with beautiful vintage patina.

About the history:
"In the autumn of 1798, August Friedrich Mouson, a native of Berlin, applied to the Frankfurt Council ... to be allowed to work as an independent soap manufacturer.." So he founded the company 'with the stagecoach', which later also achieved world fame with creams and perfume.
In 1972, the traditional Frankfurt family business was broken up and sold. A few years later, it disappeared completely.
