This piece was originally a commission from Subiaco Academy back in 2012. It is the interior of the church that was built in the 1950's.
The reference photo was shot at Christmas time as groups of poinsettias and a suspended advent candles can be seen.
It is done in a pointillist style and rendered in pen and ink and is comprised of hundreds of thousands of dots. Each one is round and the dark areas are dots on dots on dots etc.
It took approximately 60 hours to complete.
The image buy is printed as a Giclee using a fade resistant black ink on an acid-free 100lb card stock.
