These Risograph prints are based on hand cut designs I created.
Printed on 170gsm paper made from recycled coffee cups, on a risograph using soy inks in red, teal and yellow.
Riso prints have unique features and each is slightly different - see info below.
The prints measure 297 x 297mm, just under 30cm / 12” and should fit most 12x12” or 30x30cm frames or poster hangers.
Prints will be initialled and dated at the bottom in the white border.
YOU WILL RECEIVE:
2x unframed riso prints, one in each design
WHAT ARE RISO PRINTS?
Riso prints are made on a Risograph - essentially a cross between a photocopier and a screen printing machine. One colour is printed at a time - the machine makes a stencil for each colour, and then each colour is printed in turn. Riso inks are transparent, so can be layered to create a wider range of colours.
The riso printing process means that the layers don't always line up completely accurately which can create small areas of white between colours, or areas where one shape overlaps another. This is all part of the charm of riso prints, and every print is unique.
Framing:
You can purchase any off the shelf frame for 30x30cm / 12x12” prints, with or without a mount, or a 30x30cm poster hanger.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
