This fragment measures 30mm in length (not including the loop on top). It's 14mm wide, and 9mm thick. This pendant weighs 8.8 grams in total.

The chain, rings, and clasp are all highest quality hypoallergenic surgical grade stainless steel and will not tarnish. The oval chain links measure 3mm x 2mm.

The Campo Del Cielo, aka Field of Heaven, or, Field of the Sky meteorite of Argentina is possibly the heaviest meteorite ever recovered on Earth, with fragments recovered so far totaling about 100 tons. The strewn field covers an area about 50 miles in diameter and contains at least 26 craters, the largest of which is 377 by 299 ft. It's estimated that the meteor came to Earth about 4,200–4,700 years ago.

*This meteorite is natural, without any coating. This, and all nickel-iron meteorites tend to rust if exposed to a lot of moisture. To prevent rusting, coat with a light oil and wipe off, leaving only a VERY thin invisible coating.
