Antique 1880 Bates, buy Gildea and Walker ( B. G. & W) "Kioto" pattern Late Mayers Covered Tureen. Ivory coloured with green/blue decoration with outer panels of swallows, daisies, cranes, etc. Marked on the back "KIOTO / B. G. & W. / LATE MAYERS," surrounding a nude, kneeling potter, with a British registry mark dating it to November 24th, 1880.

Condition: No major damage, chips, or cracks. Some discolouration in a couple locations and crazing (see pictures).
