A delightful antique children's book entitled, 'The Who Bird and Other Whimsies', written and illustrated by Florence M. Pettee (1867–1922), published in 1920 by Whitman Publishing Company, in Chicago. Florence M. Pettee wrote and illustrated for Weekly and Monthly magazines buy and periodicals, such as Forest and Streams, The Youth's Companion, and others as well as many children's books.

This First Edition children's book is filled with lots of poetry and both colorful and line drawings of fairies and brownies on each page. The fairy poems are short and compliment the beautiful and interesting illustrations.

The hardcover book is covered in a mauve colored cloth and features a colorful illustration of an owl and jesters sitting on a toadstool. The endpapers feature a brown and white illustration of children dancing following a jester playing a tune. The overall condition is good, although there is minor wear on the corners, edges, of the boards as well as the edge of the spine. The book measures; 6 3/4" x 9".

A nice antique children's poetry book with charming illustrations.
