The Esee 5 or Rat 5, is indeed a very versatile tool carried by many discerning sportsman while in the field. It is rugged, holds an edge extremely well. It is truly a great knife.
We have sold many Scout Carry (horizontal across the small of the back) Sheaths, but many of you would prefer a more traditional vertical carry for your knife.
Blades and Sheaths after much consideration to details has come up with a very nice sheath for you. It is along the style lines of a traditional bushcraft sheath. buy Being both vertical, and requiring no retention strap, which often times is cumbersome.
The sheath is made from 8-9 oz, Hermann Oak vegetable tanned, full grain cowhide. This leather is absolutely the best quality.
While we will not sell a sheath with structural issues, we believe the minor scars and bug bites which the animal bore while alive lend character and individuality to the finished product.
The sheaths are designed, cut, finished and assembled by hand in our Lyndell, Pennsylvania shop by someone who has actual field experience.
The product you are about to buy is guaranteed for life. If it fails at any time, contact us and we will arrange for repair and/or replacement as necessary. They are sealed inside and outside, and all exposed edges are well burnished for additional protection from moisture. NO LEATHER PRODUCT IS TRULY WATERPROOF however.
