THE DRUMMER BOY. A superb porcelain figurine from the Royal Vienna set of boy musicians. Marked "Made in Germany" which we believe indicates the transfer of the original molds from Vienna to a German factory. In any case, this statuette shows all the quality of workmanship one associates with fine Gerrmanic craftsmanship. This little fellow is in flawless condition after over a century, although it looks as if at one time he bore a pair of drumsticks. He is so beautifully molded, painted and glazed that you will wonder how they did it so long ago. Measures 138 mm tall.
