Rare antique ox tongue clothes iron with swing gate and slug insert,probably German.Very heavy iron at 3.5 kg ( 7.7 lbs),you'll need big muscles for this one!, i guess there must have been a wooden handle at some time.On the swing is number 8 this must be the size,and a makers mark that looks like an anvil.Condition as in photo's
