This vintage woven basket bowl has great faded earth tone colors and a nice geometric pattern. This type of basket is recognizable as West African Hausa basketry. Hausa basket making is traditionally done by women. The Hausa people collect various grasses, which they harvest every summer and buy weave into grain bowls.
