Dark brown (with a slight shade of dark green in certain light) wool blanket measures approx. 67 X 84 inches; weighs just over 4 pounds, unpackaged. Heavy.
No manufacturer's tag, but seems like an army blanket, and it came from the estate of a WWII veteran.
Does have a very worn hand embroidered name which I think is "Harris." (photo 5)
This is in used but very clean vintage condition with no odors of any kind including moth balls, cedar, or dry cleaning chemicals.
Looks good, but does have a couple small moth holes (photo 6-8) which are not easily discernible.
No stains.
This is more for original use of keeping people (or animals) warm rather than being decorative.
Or for historical purposes.
But, even still, it will out-perform and out-last any of today's synthetic blankets.
And when not in use keeping you warm, will look good rolled or folded in a rustic cabin.
My Kentucky Mamaw would have used a clean used wool blanket like this as a middle layer in one of her patchwork tied quilts. Maybe today's equivalent of her practicality would be to put it inside a duvet cover.
