An antique George III/IV period vernacular oak table candle box. Sides joined by hand cut dovetails, with the base screwed in place and sliding lid. At some point the box had a central division fitted and a cabinet lock, possibly to use as a tea caddy. Circa early 19th century.

Lacking key and later division. Good antique condition and colour.
