I'm excited to introduce this piece. I hope you'll love it as much as I do.

I crafted this piece to be slightly taller than my standard altars so that you can use the extra space below for storage, then I added a fancy sculpted drop down front for privacy.

This version of the buy shelf is 2 inches deeper than the other similar altar I offer in my shop.

About the build:

* Each altar is made of solid wood, and so that your mellow remains un-harshed, I have rounded the edges of the shelf to make it smooth and comforting.

* After I hand rub stain on your altar, I seal the piece with spar urethane to help protect it from light, heat and sun. I use a spar urethane because it provides great protection without an overly glossy shine.

* Next I add stain to the bottom of the piece and add protective cork pads on to its cute little feet.

You choose your stain color and a distressed or non-distressed finish. Please note, golden oak & sun-drenched oak stain will minimize the look of any type of distress due to its already light coloring.

This project consists of ONE altar.

The altar is approximately 3.5 inches tall x 9.25 inches deep x 20 inches wide.

The distress option:

The distress takes the form of a light sanding of the surface to simulate years of use. The corners are more heavily worn while the area towards the middle is left more pristine.
