Sri Lanka Beach, Little girl in yellow dress, original photo transfer on painted canvas.
This photo was taken when we visited the gorgeous island of Sri Lanka in December 2009.
We had taken pictures of the blue sea, golden sand and colourful homes along the beach, we couldn't resist this shot as the little girl walked the few steps from the beach to her home, a yellow house, in her yellow dress.

I printed the picture and transferred it to a painted box canvas, bright green to highlight the colour of the plants and palms in the picture.
I varnished the front but it's not too glossy to make the viewer wonder if it's a buy painting or a photo, the ragged edges also give a vintage impression.
