Beautiful art deco inspired demitasse cup and saucer from Metterteich, Bavaria, Germany.
The set is made of porcelain, hand painted with pink roses, green background on the outer rim of the cup and saucer, and embellished with gold.
The mark on the back of the saucer and cup indicates it was made in the 1920s or later.
The cup is 3 inches across the top-- 3/5 with the handle; 1 1/8th inches across the bottom; and 2 inches high. The saucer is 4.5 inches across.
Excellent vintage condition; no chips buy, cracks, or crazing.
The unusual barrel base and handle are extremely hard to find.
