This vintage Lucite red, blue and creme moon glow
flying bird pin dates from the 1940s. It is heat-molded,
with lightly painted details. The pin has a glued-on metal
and plastic pin ba

These types of pins were very popular in the 1940s,
when the war effort led to severe shortages of metal
for jewelry-making.
