Vintage Sorrentoware Box, buy Sorrento Ware

This lovely box is perfect for a desk or vanity. It is made of several species of wood, all inlaid in a decorative pattern. This is indicative of Sorrento ware, made in buy Sorrento, Italy and sold all over that country. The corners of the box are beautifully mitered, making for a very sound box. the inside of the box is lined with varnished wood as well. Condition of the box is very good, some minimal wear to the bottom edge consistent with age.

Measurements are: 4 3/8" by 4 3/8" and 1 3/4" tall.
