Vintage Hand-carved Wooden Figurine, Walking Pilgrim, Traveler, Peasant, European-Mediteranian Folk Art "FREE buy USA SHIPPING"

This beautifully carved wooden figurine most likely came from Southern Europe/Mediterranean region buy. The barefooted, walking man is probably depicting a Christian on pilgrimage--note that his trousers are worn at the knees from prayer. This type of folk style hand-carved piece were often sold to tourist visiting religious sites back in the 1950s-60s. It stands 9.5" tall with lots of nice details and a wonderful aged patina.
