Art-nouveau era (pre 1921) and very scarce Grindley Carnival (older) hand-decorated luncheon or breakfast plate.

Part of Grindley's Ivory Ware line of ironstone and registered pattern no. 714550, this art-deco plate features bright bursts of orange, red, blue and yellow florals and a lotus tree set into an urn with a orange enamel edge.

In GOOD! vintage condition, the plate has three nicks to the edge, noticeable to one side and the reverse, and SIGNIFICANT! crazing and cracks through the glaze which have resultant browning to the front surface. Plate is best used as a decorative item. Please review each of the posted photos for a complete visual of the item.

Approximate measurements: 8-7/8" in diameter (measured edge to edge across the front of the plate) with a scalloped, orange edge.
