This is a very fine Banjara Choli that represents the best of Banjara mirror work and embroidery. The mirrors on this piece are very large and becoming increasingly hard to come by. It was made by a craftsperson of the highest order. The design is wonderful, the colors are wonderful, the craftsmanship is outstanding and the detail is amazing. It's a shame I cant post more images!Choli mostly worn in Gujarat and Rajasthan in India with gagra skirt. The choli is cut to fit tightly to the body and has short sleeves and a low neck and it leaves the lower back and midriff bare. The choli is usually cropped, allowing exposure of the navel; the cropped design is particularly well-suited for wear in the hot South Asian summers.


This one is in excellent vintage condition. Possible cracked or missing mirrors will be shown in pictures.
Banjara women tend towards the tiny in the shoulders and around the rib cage. These shirts are small. The model in the picture is a small 8 year old. would probably fit 7-9 year old girls.

These are vintage items and not new. So, please do not expect them to be in perfect condition. If there is any major flaw, I will surely buy mention Description of the item.
