Whimsical Owl with buy 3-D Eyes, Bottle Cap Nose, Copper Wing and Concrete Nail Legs

This is owl was made from a collection of recycled materials that will add whimsy and fun to any vacation or bird-lover's home. The construction started with a pine 1x8 that I burned with a torch and then stained. The wing is made from a sheet of copper fabric used to protect cell phones and other electronic equipment. The eyes are the central feature of this creation. They're buy large wooden balls attached to the owl and they protrude about an inch. The eyes are offset with recycled metal found at a second hand store. The nose is a “Pirate Booty” bottle cap obtained a flea market. The legs are made from concrete nails. Have you got a parent or adult that loves birds, but you don't know what to get them as a gift? This might be the answer. It would be a great compliment to any vacation home, man cave or den.
