Kingman Turquoise Mine located in Northern Arizona in the town of Kingman, Az. The Kingman moons are a bit fun and a bit of a challenge to cut. I get the moon shapes using a combination of my Cutting machine, Dremel and Emery cloth. The general shape and surface are done using my 6-wheel cutting machine, the Dremel is hand held to make the inside curve of the moon and when done I have to use a emery cloth I wrapped around a Bic lighter to polish the inside curve of the moon. The mine is owned by good friend's of mine and has been in their Family for generations. Kingman has been stabilizing turquoise for many years and is respected as the world leader in stabilizing turquoise. The Son and I do all the cutting work we never farm it out. We are Native American gem cutters, we are registered members of the federally recognized Native American tribe Wichita Indians out of Oklahoma.
The photos in this listing are taken in natural sunlight on a white background. I realize Direct sunlight and white background is the worst possible conditions to photo in. I would rather buy have you say it looks so much better in hand then be disappointed when you get the stone. If you would like a photo in shade, just ask.
