Freedom in Education by Elizabeth Byrne Ferm, includes a biographical note from her husband Alexis C. Ferm who also taught. Two libertarian educators.
Book is based on Elizabeth Byrne Ferm's twenty years of activity at the Modern School in buy Shelton, NJ. She was a pioneer of child eduction on the development of the free and creative personality.
Describes her educational training based on Froebel's ideas and her development of the “free” kindergartens. Also describes the various educational projects and experiments, a truly Modern School Movement.
Book is in very good condition, no dust jacket. No tears or stains on book, slightly worn on edges of outside cover.
