Antique Framed, Rouget de L'isle Singing the Marseillaise for the First Time, Photogravure Print from the Original Painting by Isidore-Alexandre-Augustin Pils, The Masterpieces of French Art by Louis Viardot, Published by Gravure Goupil et Cie, Paris, 1882, Gebbie & Co., Philadelphia, 1883.

Good Condition with a few marks on the frame. I am not sure of the wood, Maple? Cherry? Please Look at All Photos.

Rouget de Lisle, (1760-1836) composer of La Marseillaise, sings the song for the first time at the home of Dietrich, Mayor of Strasbourg. The Original Painting by Isidore Pils in 1849, hangs in the Luxembourg Gallery.
