This listing is for custom matting and framing in a standard 8x10 inch readymade contemporary, eco-friendly bamboo frame.

The frames are all natural, made from sustainable bamboo, and feature glass faces, and a bright modern look. All elements are recyclable or biodegradable, and the frame finish is waterbased and free of chemicals and solvents.

Any of the appropriately sized prints or maps featured in our store can be shipped to you framed and ready to hang. Find a print in another Etsy shop or elsewhere that you'd like framed? Have it shipped directly to us and we'd be happy to frame it for you!

We have two pricing tiers:

1.) Frame+ mat+ archival mounting
2.) Frame+mat+ archival mounting+ printing of your print or photo from a digital file

We can mount your artwork for you or send you everything you need to DIY mount it at home. You can also send us digital files via email, which we can print, mat, and frame in our print shop.

All costs are refundable pending consultation and final approval by the customer. Please convo us if you'd like to consult before your purchase, and we'll be happy to answer any questions.

We use environmentally friendly materials and practices. We use museum grade Aurora Natural 100% cotton rag fine art photo paper, museum grade 100% cotton rag mat board, and recycled backing board. These materials are high-grade, long lasting, and earth friendly.

We use archival methods to frame your photos and prints, so they remain undamaged and can be removed whenever you choose.

FAQ:

Can I order custom frame sizes?

A: No, we use standard pre-made frames in four sizes (5x7, 8x10, 11x14, 16x20) and can't offer other sizes, but we do custom size the mat to fit any artwork within these standard sizes.

Can I order just the frames without the mats?

A: Yes, but be aware that a portion of the price accounts for mat, backing, and mounting materials as well as labor costs for the time it takes for matting and framing. Write NO MAT in the message box when you order and we will provide a $10 rebate.

How do I choose a frame size?

A: Generally you want to choose a frame size that is at least 2-3 inches bigger than your artwork, to provide space for the mat area. Oversize mats look great so go as big as you want!

Do the frames come with real glass?

A: Yes, all frames come with real glass, not plexi.

Do the frames come with hooks for hanging?

A: Yes, all the frames come with backing and hooks and are ready to hang out of the box. In addition, the 8x10 and 5x7 frame sizes have tabletop mounts as well.

Which pricing tier do I select?

A: If you are ordering a print or map from our shop, or you have a physical print you want framed, choose the lower price tier labeled "Without Printing." The higher price tier labeled "With Printing" is only for customers who have a digital file you'd like us to print and frame, and the extra charge accounts for printing costs.

Do I send you my artwork or can I have the frame and custom sized mat sent to me to put together myself?

A: It's your choice. If you send us your artwork we'll make sure everything is perfect and we'll send it back ready to hang. If you'd rather do it yourself, just make sure to measure the artwork accurately and we'll send the frame with custom sized mat so you can easily mount the artwork at home.

Is this the same as custom framing I'd get at a local frame shop?

A: Yes, except we don't construct the frame ourselves. You get high-grade custom matting and archival mounting of your artwork, but because we use readymade frames the cost is substantially lower than a frame shop charges. We spent a lot of time testing frames and have selected some of the best frames on the market in terms of quality of materials, beauty, and affordability.

What if my frame gets damaged in the mail?

A: We package the frames very carefully, so damage is very rare but it buy can happen in transit. We will replace anything that is damaged in transit at no cost to you.
