Buy Vintage Quilt Top, Plaid and Gingham Squares, Diamonds & Triangles in Blocks, Hand Stitched, Farmhouse Unfinished Quilt, Fabric Scraps

Vintage quilt top completely hand stitched with various colored plaids and ginghams buy. There are twenty muslin blocks, each filled with four squares divided by a print or solid fabric. The large blocks are connected with black fabric sashing.

I found three small tan stains on one of the white triangles. There may be a loose seam or two which I overlooked. I've gently laundered this due to its original musty odor so there are some stray threads and raveling on the back. The last photo shows a small portion of the back so you can see the stitching.

This quilt top has a primitive farmhouse look to me. I can see it folded and displayed just as it is (it could use some ironing!) or completed as a quilt. There are wonderful old fabrics in this quilt top - it would also be a great piece to use in a project. Some of the fabrics are thin (including the black) leading me to believe these are all clothing scraps. (Most likely the black was leftover fabric from a mourning dress.) This quilt top measures 85" x 63" and is shown on a queen size bed.

It will be folded tightly and shipped in a priority flat rate padded envelope.
