This vintage plane measures 8 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, 5 inches tall at the tallest point. He is metal and wood. He bears the name "SARGENT & CO. / No 3410" on one end which enables us to date it. On the top of the metal blade it reads "SARGENT & CO./U.S.A./ NEW HAVEN, CT." He is vintage, used and shows signs of past normal use including worn wood, scuffs, peeling black paint, rust as shown in photos. His flaws merely add to his charm. He has been gently wiped, but could use a more thorough cleaning and oiling. Lever to release blade does not operate.
