'Large Wren'

This copper sculpture is created using solid, copper wire which is oxidised and burnished creating a beautiful, warm, aged effect.

The technique I use is a combination of binding and manipulating the wire buy to create a solid object with a defined shape, while at the same time holding loose lines and disorder within.

The wire sculpture is mounted on a stunning, naturally smoothed stone. These look great in the garden, to be discovered, or on a shelf near a lamp.
