These 3 vintage porcelain doll heads seem to be from different manufacturers. The large one is a Jennie doll heads. I believe that the doll head is made of bisque porcelain imitating marble. The Jenny doll heads were made to venerate Swedish Opera singer Johanna Maria Lind , better known as Jenny Lind who lived from 1820 through 1887), often known as the “Swedish Nightingale”. She was one of the most highly regarded singers of the 19th century and she performed in in Sweden and across Europe, as well as giving a concert tour of America beginning in 1850 at the invitation of P.T. Barnum. She was a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music from 1840.
She had suffered vocal damage, but her singing teacher Manuel García saved her voice. After two acclaimed seasons in London, she announced her retirement from opera at the age of 29. With her new husband, Otto Goldschmidt, she returned to Europe in 1852 where she had three children and gave occasional concerts over the next two decades, settling in England in 1855.
This is the largest doll head. Jennie L is etched into the back of the shoulder.
