Antique Gillinder and Sons White Milk Glass Religious Jesus Catholic Crucifix Cross Candlestick Holder
Beautiful vintage milk glass candle holder with a cross that has the form of Jesus etched . Lots of detail.
Single cast pressed glass with hollow hexagonal (six) sided bases. There is a figure of Jesus Christ on the cross.
These were advertised by Gillinder from 1899 to 1903. These are old, beautiful and rare. Look out for copies. Look at the rings above the cross as other companies do not have these or different in style. Also, these original earlier pieces the left leg is tucked behind the right leg and do not have the INRI on the cross.
Item is in excellent condition, pure white and stands 9-1/2” inches tall and 3-7/8” across at the base.
Some of the edges buy are not smooth which is expected with pressed glass manufacturing. Please see photos.
