What is Rutilated Quartz? Rutilated quartz is two gemstones in one. Rutile forms long, fine, golden coloured crystals, which are enveloped by clear rock crystal quartz during formation. These rutile needles are trapped, and upon polishing form an intricate web of needles that catch the light inside the rock crystal.
